Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal
South Asia: India, Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Indochina and Myanmar
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Montane and sub-montane temperate mixed conifer and pine forests. Observed at heights around 1,500m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of seeds, particularly alder and birch.
