A genus which is not (yet) accepted by most authorities. If accepted it would contain 13 to 17 (or 20 with split) species:

They share coloured wingpanels, a dark plumage (usually rich brown) and the flight-feathers lack pale tips.

Trochalopteron is a genus in the Family Timaliidae.
This genus is commonly merged in the genus Garrulax.
