Genus: Macronous
Description
This genus contains some Tit-Babblers from SE-Asia.
Taxonomy
Macronous is a genus in the Family Timaliidae.
The original description included two spellings of the name, Macronous and Macronus. Both are still in use leading sometimes to confusion.
The monotypic genus Timalia seems to be closely related.
Several species of this genus are now placed in the genus Mixornis.
