Genus: Bubalornis

[edit] Description

An African genus; two species of Buffalo-Weaver. Unusually, these birds have a false penis, which is larger in the male. The males are blackish, and the females brown; there is no eclipse plumage. The nests are large and untidy, built of large thorny sticks.

Bubalornis is a genus in the family Ploceidae.
