    Ferry Stockholm to St Petersburg?

Hi, it looks like the St Peter line runs 2 times per week Stockholm - St.Petersburg. Another option is that there seems to be a high speed train service from Helsinki to St.Petersburg, there are many ferries between Stockholm and Helsinki so that might suit your schedule better. //Björn

    Djurgarden

Hi, quite a lot of snow now so there might not be much birdlife. Maybe some at "Isbladskärret" at the east end of djurgården. This time of year most larger birds can be found next to the castle where they are fed every day in the water. "Matningsflotten" is located in the water between the...

    Sweden in July 2014

Yes, that's the correct place. Some map links, hopefully they work: Hårby, where the main parking at Hjälstaviken is. The closes tower is to the south east. There are some more parkings and towers on the south east side of the lake. Big reed area in the south part of the lake...

    Panasonic FZ150

Mm.. seems they are quite equal uality wise. Saw someone here that said it would be quite front heavy with DMW-LT55E, but the same might be true with TCON-17 as well? Btw, which adapter is used with the TCON? LA5 as with the pana?. //Björn

    Panasonic FZ150

Just ordered one :) Any thoughts on which TC to get, are there any differences between tcon-17 and the pana (DMW-LT55E)? One is heavier than the other? The tcon, as said, seems a bit hard to get. //Björn

    Grebe controversy - Sweden

Too bad there are no pictures of the older hybrids, would be interesting to see. The Grebe is gone now, but not the two Slav. Maybe they weren't a family after all.

    Grebe controversy - Sweden

In Sweden we haven't really dared to venture to the hybrid theory, mostly because it seems to belong to the two other Grebes like a family. And there are not much evidence of BH/Slav hybrids earlier, saw one possible hybrid mentioned in Scotland 1973, as well as some lists mentioning that they...

    Grebe controversy - Sweden

Yep, sure is a difficult bird :) And differnt pictures of it shows it in different ways... The face pattern is quite different from a normal BH, more like a slav. Same with the beak colour, white tip.

    Grebe controversy - Sweden

Hi, We have a strange Grebe currently just outside Stockholm. It hangs around with two Slavonian Grebes. Some ppl are sure it's a deviant Slavonian, some it's a strange Black-necked. I don't know what to think :king: A BN here in winter plymage is very rare so we don't have so much experince...

    Dissecting the TSN-82*

I hear you, trying to take it easy :) I couldn't get the lenses to move so I asked the guy doing the Kowa repairs in Sweden and he advised not to try to get them out like that, too easy to chip the flourite lens. Since the smudge seems to be on the back of the fl lens (the inner one...

    Dissecting the TSN-82*

Tonights progress: I couldn't get the outer ring to move at all, probably due to the dent. Had to destroy it to get it out... The lower ring could be removed quite easily but taking a piece of steel plate that fit the notches and turning. Below were a steel ring and below that a big o-ring...
