    So the most common visitors to my feeder are House Finches, followed by Black-capped Chickadees and Red-breasted Nuthatches. The Finches are slobs and will sit there feasting for as long as possible while the Nuthatches will come grab what they want and fly off, the Chickadees seem to vary...

    I'm not well-versed enough to be definitive but I'd say Costa's is mostly likely here.

    Flycatchers are my nemesis when it comes to IDing them and migration season just makes it worse. These were taken near Casper, WY the last weekend of August. Merlin's sound id says it heard both Gray Flycatchers and Western Wood-Pewees in the area.

    Those are all chipping sparrows? Man, that variation in coloring is crazy. And here I was leaning strongly towards the first sparrow being a brewer's.

    I went for a walk along the creek at Bear Creek Lake Park last weekend and saw so many birds. The warblers and others were out in full force after all the rain we got this week, I even got to to see a couple lifers. If I'm right that the birds in my photos are Thrushes that'd be another lifer...
