    Any help on this lark? The crest is telling me crested lark but are there any telltale id features that I'm missing in this heavily cropped photo? I've never seen crested lark before.

    In which case, to answer your question, the most glaring omissions from my Valley yearlist are little egret and wheatear at the moment but there are loads on there that I have missed.

    For me, although not overly common, willow tit has got to be a strong candidate because they are so uncommon these days. Snipe always seems like a good, solid Valley bird. Mike
