    Swarovski 7x30 B SLC Mark I produced in the year 2000 ?

Very cool - I have discovered that I love 7x bins, and I’ll be keeping a keen eye out for some of these.

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

As an outsider (I haven’t tried these two), I have never enjoyed a 10x bin but the NL has been making me think again… what’s less good about a 10x? 1) reduced field of view, 2) less sharpness and ease of view for some due to less steady viewing. It is VERY interesting that Swaro has managed to...

Binocular Comparison: Nikon Prostaff ATB 8x25 reverse porro vs. Hawke Endurance ED 8x25

for the price, I think a (reverse) porro is a very good idea.

Appreciate Binocular Advice for Nonprofit Outdoor & Nature Program

I think 8x42 is a lot of binocular for a kid, and even among adults, 32mm is the trend in the market, I’m told, due to lighter weight. The kowas I recommend use porro prisms, meaning they are brighter and often better image quality than roof prism models of comparable price. They also come in...

Appreciate Binocular Advice for Nonprofit Outdoor & Nature Program

Kowa YFii 6x30 - cheap, waterproof, much brighter and sharper than you’d expect for the price, user friendly, ok for faces of all sizes.

Very light* setup (binoculars + scope)

Though lacking the tabletop stand option, this shoulder stock for cameras at B&H looks handy, and is more easily sourced and maybe more in line with the super lightweight theme of your kit. Sorry if this has been a little bit tangential to the topic here...

Very light* setup (binoculars + scope)

Thanks for asking - it made me dig it out and set it up for the first time. I bought it with the idea that I would use it with a lighter scope, which I have yet to purchase. But, to answer your question and to see for myself how steady it is, I set it up with my Nikon monarch 82a scope. Looking...

Very light* setup (binoculars + scope)

I have a small tripod that doubles as a rifle stock-like mount for a scope. I bought it ages ago and never got around to trying it, so I can’t really vouch for it, but the concept seems like it would fit in here.

    On bright compact binos

I’d consider the mavens, as a recent convert to 7x. But, for your criteria, maybe consider some reverse porros like the one described in the lightweight kit thread recently started… here it is: Very light* setup (binoculars + scope)

Female chest friendly binocular harness recommendations?

You and the OP might like the Black Rapid camera(and/or bino) sling system. This includes options with contours made for female anatomy considerations. Some are diagonal, so it's out of the way to one side, but if you don't like the diagonal strap crossing the sternum there are other options -...
