    I have a few that get car duty. The quality of my car binocular goes up as I buy new models! :D I've used Vanguard Endeavor ED II, Vortex Viper HD 8X32(MIJ), Zeiss Terra EDs, and even a SV 8X32 at times! If I were going to get a binocular just FOR that...I'd get a Vortex of my choosing!

    I can say for sure...the Monarch HG 8X42 and 8X30 I have are made in Japan. I have read here that they were going to be the last of the MIJ binoculars for Nikon. IDK if that is a fact or not.

    I've always liked the 8X32 Conquest HD AND the 8X30 Monarch HG. Both are excellent. Lately I've been using the Kowa Genesis 8X33. It may very well be the best of the three but completely splitting hairs here. Currently you can get the Kowa for $799. It works for me WITH glasses(it's close)...

    Any of those would be excellent choices. I have the SFL 8X40 and I just happen to be currently using the Kowa 8X33. I've been really impressed. Right now there is probably not a better binocular for the current price of $799.00.
