    Bird at thistle feeder- Ohio, USA

    I saw this bird at my feeder yesterday March 17th (sorry about the quality of the photos). I’m in the USA, Ohio, Putnam County, Columbus Grove. I wondered if it could be a goldfinch. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello from NW Ohio

    I’m a science teacher who got my school to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count and have a class doing Project FeederWatch. Participating in these projects and seeing that first White Breasted Nuthatch “climb the wrong way” as my son put it was enough to get me hooked on birds.
