    Much closer to Brisbane you can see the Paradise Riflebird. I have seen then at O'Reilly's south-west of the city (a drive of 2-3 hours? I went on minibus trips.) on 7 days when I have been staying there. They also occur at and near Mount Glorious, which is just north-west of Brisbane.
