I guess they must breed somewhere very close by. Clive reckons they return, regular as clockwork, every Easter. (Which is a bit weird since Easter isn't regular at all!)
 
this is the female i saw, she staid for about a day perched on one of the trees, i am sure the male was around but did not see him.
 
Another cracker of a shot...so beautiful...wish we had more birds like this...
