Sword-billed Hummingbird
One of the first birds I saw at San Jorge Eco-lodge just outside of Quito, Ecuador. Friends have told me I was lucky to see it and this was the only one I saw. My wife Carol took the picture and notice the tongue protruding past the end of the bill.

What a great picture you got Don, showing that long bill they have.... and just accentuated by the tongue too LOL. That seems to be the fashion just now as it's the third picture this week to show a hummer with the tongue sticking out!!!
