I beg its pardon, but this does make me laugh a bit! Though evolutionary selection will have its way. Anyway this is a cracking good shot of a most handsome bird, with fascinating ripples and reflections in the water.

Radipole does come up with more than its fair share of rarities, as I recall from the 1980s and 90s.
