Caught in mid air!
I spent the heat of the day at a small stream crossing, in the Kruger National Park. This Hamerkop and a Green-backed Heron were feasting on the abundance of fish. The light was not great, but the photographic opportunities were good and that was all that counted.
Scientific name
Scopus umbretta
Equipment used
Canon 5D III and 300 f2.8 IS II lens
Woah! Super shot, m8!!!
The Eye on that Heron is superb!!!
As for the Fish? Well, ... a bit of an "ouch", but the Heron needs to eat, eh?!
Great, great photo!!!
Cheers!
