Bald Eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

This pair of Bald Eagles build their first nest this year. They are young, we believe the female to be only 3-4 years old as she still has some brown streaks on white head and tail feathers.
It appears that their first attempt at nesting was unsuccessful as there should be chicks by now and the eagles are off nest. The good news is that they are both still around and together so they will probably try again next year in the newly build nest. There is a high rate of failure in first year nesting eagles.
For now they are providing a nice show by reequently sitting together.
