    Here is a more recent recording which gave the same indications.... taken in South Derbyshire.....In roadside hedge next to grass field nothing visible. Merlin has identified this as a redstart.... which i think is just the app. but there is a little 'tink' after a couple of the tseep noises...

    SO..... not fully tested but i did this 1. Open the recording in Merlin. 2. Immediately under the sonogram, on left, is a SHARE ICON: tap it. 3 at the bottom of the list is a copy button pressed that 4 open files 5 saved in there

    Im in Derbyshire too - I can here Robin and Chiffchaff in the back ground - i presume you are asking about the zeet sound? i think without knowing - if you dont know its usually a great tit!

    Eyepieces for MM3 GA (non ED)

    A couple near me were selling an ed version of this scope....one of the things that put me off. - and there wasnt much - was the eyepieces were so small. The eyepiece/rubber end cap on my Celestron is a good 2" across even though the actual glass is probably only 3/4". Do Opticron do something...

    Was watching an individual thrush on the field opposite - or so i thought... Please could you take a look - sorry its a bit blurry Is the slightly rufous cast above the legs an indicative feature - making these song thrushes? also any pointers to get better shots is a bonus! hand held Lumix...
