    Looking for a photo printer

I have been out of the printer market for some time and need to catch up. I need a good photo printer. Are the new 6,8,10 pen printers worth it? I find a lot of reviews but no good sites with reliable ratings. I would appreciate your list of top 5 printers and any links to good websites. Thanks!

    Fuji F30 dust issues

My guess is the main problem is dust on the chip itsself, which is what I suspect. I can see some dust inside the lens, but based on your reply to my post, now I am convinced the main problem is on the chip. These chips are dust magnets and Fuji needs to make more of an effort to keep it clean...

    Fuji F30 dust issues

Hi! I bought my F30 in Feb 2007. Now I have dust inside the lens. Might even be on the chip itself. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a good enough reason to return the camera? I have not been particularly hard on the camera. I bought a mini Pelican case for it to keep it clean and...

Going to Utila for some birding

You will enjoy the diving for sure. You have a great chance to see whale sharks. It's an awsome experience. Also, there are lots of sand fleas so bring long pants and long sleeve shirt.

Going to Utila for some birding

I have only been there for scuba diving, which is excellent. The island has only one street (notice I said street not road). No cars just a few ATV's ad golf carts for cruising the main street. No shopping except in a few small gift shops. This is REALLY a small community. I enjoyed my visit...

    California

March will be a great time to visit the bay area. The wintering birds will still be here as well as some spring migrants. Public tranportation in San Francisco/Berkeley/Oakland will be no problem, but Monterey area will be difficult. California is not public transport friendly. You have received...

I just went in July. You can order the booklet Hawaii's Birds by Hawaii Audubon Society. I bought it at Borders while on Oahu. The book tells the common locations where each bird can be found. There are several wildlife preserves on the island. Just get a descent map and you can easily find...

I receive my Zeiss 85mm. Its awsome! First bird from my backyard was a red-shafted Northern Flicker, 2nd bird an American Kestral. The detail was amazing. I later viewed a Kestral right after sundown and even in the dim light and clouds I could see amazingly well. I also viewed Jupiter this...

GR, Thanks for the setup info. I wasn't expecting decent shots using a zoom eyepiece! Steve, I know you are right but the deed is done. For now I'm just going to be happy with what I have and try not to think about my misery as I trudge the levies of south San Francisco Bay and surrounding...
