Went towards North Wall at the weekend and the RSPB have removed all shrubs, bushes, trees along the complete length of North Wall as well as cut back 30 feet or reeds either side in preparation for the EA rebuilding the wall between August and Dec 2011 in order to improve flood defences, the reedbed to the north of the wall will be left to the sea and in time will become saltmarsh and not a fresh water reedbed, there are rumours of a new path along the west side of the north reedbed to Dunwich. During Aug - Dec the path will be closed so access to the beach, East Hide etc is via the sluice.
