Interesting visit to Willington this morning - before the hail storm arrived! Seen on the reserve and from the canal towpath, - Robin Chiffchaff (in good voice) Blackcaps (at least two males singing and showing well) Chaffinch Bullfinch Blackbird Canada Geese Cormorant Black-headed Gull Lapwing Great Crested Grebe Long Tailed Tits Mallard Sand Martin Shelduck Gadwall Mute Swan Reed Bunting Tufted Duck Dunnock Song Thrush Meadow Pipit Ringed Plover Little Ringed Plover Redshank Oystercatcher Pied Wagtail Linnet Kestrel Jay and Buzzard. Well worth the visit and thanks to the birders who let me have a look through their scopes while I was there, cheers :t:
