White or Dalmatian Pelican? (1 Viewer)

I recently did a day trip to Ephesus from Kusadasi and I guess there is a wetland somewhere nearby as I saw grey heron and cormorant in flight from the coach.

I also saw distantly a pair of pelicans but too hazy to ID from the coach.

The collins guide implies that Dalmatian pelican is the default bird in the area, does this seem likely to anyone who knows the area, or were they more likely to have been white pelicans?
