Had about 6 Waxwings in my garden in Stonehaven yesterday and saw one across the road in a tree. Unfortunately wasn't quick enough to photograh them. Any other sightings around?
There has been a small flock of Waxwings hanging around in Rowan trees (mostly) on Kingsway East, here in Dundee, since Saturday afternoon when my pal, Lainy found them, though they were apparently not seen this afternoon (though they did go missing at times in the morning too). Managed to get a few 'different' photos, despite poor lighting conditions at the time of my visit on Saturday afternoon and again this morning.
Love waxwings. Only seen them once locally when I worked as a gravedigger in Stevenage. No funerals in so I grabbed the bins out of my hut sharpish! Great sight. Not seen any down south since.
