Thorney Island Help (1 Viewer)

I want to go to the island this afternoon to hopefully view the little egrets coming in to roost. Does anyone know the best way of doing this as far as were to stand and park e.t.c?

thanks.

oops..a bit late.
If you did go hope you found everything ok.
If not park at the little pull-off by the left-hand turn towards the yacht club. Walk across the main road and follow the footpath to the sea wall on the western side of the island and then just walk down towards the Deeps at the southernmost end.
I'm only up the road from you in Birdham so if you need anymore info, ask away!

I didn't go in the end, hopefully will the end of this week. When is the best time to go tide wise?

thanks.

Tide doesn't seem to matter - when they gotta sleep they gotta sleep!! Just get down there a couple of hours before dusk. Good luck - think its was 150-odd the other evening?

Thanks a lot for your help, I was just wondeirng if you have been there in the morning? And if so whats it like, am I more likely to see more/get a better view of the Egrets?

thanks.
