Bah humbug
Swanpool, nr Falmouth Cornwall this morning. Engaging in a bit of plunge diving from the bank. Any ideas?

Looks like a small grey mullet to me with those two dorsals and linear scale patterns on the flanks. Either thick or thin-lipped are possible. Can't tell from the photos I'm afraid.

Excellent, cheers Paul. Not going to quibble over the lips myself tbh.

The stream was running into what is essentially a brackish pool, joined by a grill to the sea. Makes sense.
