A bit of a quiet autumn here in south Hokkaido was brightened up by a Siberian Rubythroat flitting around in the bushes next to the small stream near my appartment. Only a female (or immature) I'm afraid though I did get a couple of males last autumn. A real skulker................took me about 10 minutes to get a clear view.

Otherwise not much about (spring and last autumn were fantastic migration-wise). There was also 1 large Salmon ( a male I guess) attending 2 smaller ones....strange to see Salmon spawning in such a small river.
