Rose-ringed Parakeets at Wollaton Park (3 Viewers)

Andy Hall

Notts Birder
Following several reports in October, after them being seen on and off for over a year, Jason Reece connected with these last week. Then I also saw these birds this Saturday (13th Nov) flying from the Derby road entrance towards the hall and heard them several times later. Although they can be seen anywhere in the park, they appear to favour the long boulevards of trees between the Hall and Wollaton Road. SK530 395. See highlighted area on map

Have seen the birds twice over my house (right of image) earlier in the year (not sure about the precise dates), when they were following a flock of woodpigeons. Would certainly love to see them perched though.
