Whilst awaiting a breakdown recovery vehicle at Copland Way Beccles Suffolk I recorded the flowering plants in the layby. The verge had a clay substrate & 18 plants were recorded in flower.

Anagallis arvensis (Scarlet Pimpernel)
Bellis perennis (Daisy)
Cerastium fontanum (Common Mouse-Ear)
Cirsium vulgare (Spear Thistle)
Dactylis glomerata (Cock's-Foot)
Lathyrus nissolia (Grass Vetchling)
Lotus corniculatus (Common Bird's-Foot-Trefoil)
Picris echioides (Bristly Oxtongue)
Plantago coronopus (Buck's-Horn Plantain)
Plantago lanceolata (Ribwort Plantain)
Ranunculus repens (Creeping Buttercup)
Sonchus oleraceus (Smooth Sow-Thistle)
Taraxacum officinale agg. (Dandelion)
Trifolium pratense (Red Clover)
Trifolium repens (White Clover)
Ulex europaeus (Gorse)
Vicia hirsuta (Hairy Tare)
Vicia sativa (Common vetch)

Grass Vetchling is hard to find This time it was with Vica sativa.

Mandy my wife found it As I had overlooked it.

We waited an hour & a half for the RAC but I enjoyed looking at the flora.
