Ridgeline Clothing for Birding use (1 Viewer)

I've ordered a Mallard 2 jacket. Seems like a great solution. Perfect for layering in Winter, light enough for the rest of the seasons :)

It arrived last weekend.

Nice, and it's quiet indeed.

Both measurements are made more or less in the same conditions. 1 m apart from the phone (the sonometer is not calibrated but it's still useful to compare measurements) rubbing the sleeves against my body while wearing the jacket.

The first measurement is a normal mountain jacket. Not a Gore Tex one but similar. Second one, the Ridgeline Mallard jacket.

This is an extreme test, and still the difference is important. The fabric is really silent when you move and, for example, fold your arm, unlike the somewhat stiff outer shell in mountain jackets.

I just tried the Ridgeline Mallard during a walk with unpleasant weather. Wind and rain. Perfectly dry inside.
