I read on website burung-nusantara.org/ about hiring a boat and visiting this island for Christmas I FB and Milky Stork. I could have a free Saturday before flying to Sulawesi. Any thoughts on

- are these two target species present 1st week September?
- does this seem like a feasible day trip from a Jakarta airport hotel ?
- any experience with just paying someone on the island for a permit?

Thanks

Bob

hi bob
maybe too late to give u this information, but mybe u still can use this information

u can go there from merak-harbour(north jakarta) with boat
the route is simple, merak->pulau seribu->pulau rambut

-mostly bird is not migration so dont worry about that
-u can hire a guide there with little cost(including permit etc)
