Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum (y)

We're glad you found us. Please join in wherever you like ;)

Thank you! This tree is about 3m away from our living room window, so to see the Sparrowhak catch one of the migrating birds was quite an experience! :)

It is amazing. Best I have seen is a peregrine take a pigeon at a sports stadium and a kestrel take a blue tit at a more usual nature reserve!

Look at that catch! I can't tell what it's gotten, but that bird is nearly as big as it is. Did it fly very far with that hefty dinner?

Hi Tom and a warm welcome from me too.

All things Scottish can be found here. Also, keep an eye on threads titled something like Scottish Bashes; we try to meet up occasionally and they're always great fun. You'd be most welcome to join us on another if you can manage.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
