Philippine site suggestions RFI (1 Viewer)

We may possibly get to the Philippines in about a month, and if we do it will be by boat, arriving at Zamboanga on Mindanao. Given that we'll only maybe have 3 or 4 weeks to get between there and Manila (without flying), can anyone suggest a handful (3 or 4) birding sites we should prioritise fitting in as first time visitors to the country?

Main factors would be

1) site should be relatively easy to access on public transport, or shortish taxi ride, and not take up days en route.

2) no complicated advance bookings or permits

3) ideally no guide needed, or if so not an expensive one

4) I'd like to leave having seen a Rhabdornis!

Any help or advice at all greatly appreciated,

cheers,

Larry
