Notts - A Classic Year (1 Viewer)

Andy Hall

Notts Birder
Of course the star of the show is the Broad-billed Sandpiper but a remarkable supporting cast and it's only early June:

Red-necked Phalarope (first for 19 years)
Purple Heron (first for 8 years)
2 Spoonbills
Multiple Temminck's Stints
drake Lesser Scaup
Green-winged Teal
several Cranes
Dotterel
Great Grey Shrike
Snow Bunting

Is the real biggie still to come???

its looking good! i've only seen the temmincks from that list although i was stoked about that! is the purple heron still about??? i'm working up at besthorpe nwt on thursday so it'd be nice to go check it out.

yeah, i was down the day after it was reported on RBA for the besthorpe open day, and heard people were struggling for it. Couldn't get down the other day either, oh well!
