Hi!
I'm going to Northern Sulawesi on holliday on the 1st of august. It's not a birding trip, but I will do some birding while there, and I plan to visit Tangkoko. I have some questions and I hope that I can get some help on this forum.
I've bought the new edition of A photographic guide to the birds of Indonesia by Morten Strange http://www.amazon.com/books/dp/0804842000 But I havn't been able to get a copy of Coates & Bishop's Guide to the birds of Wallacea (or it's been far too expensive..). A guy on Facebook told me I could borrow a copy from him, but then I haven't heard anything more.. Is there any advices on how to get a copy (now with only two weeks left..)?
Or does anyone have any ideas on how to compensate for the lack of birds and illustration in the other book? Other books? Any good webpage to prepare myself?
I've also read that a few birds are alot easier to see if you can play their songs. I'm thinking of downloading a few from xeno-canto.org, does anyone have any suggestions of wich birds who would be most useful to download?
Finaly, I would very much apriciate if I could get recomendations on a few good birdguides in Tankoko (and elswhere on Northern Sulawesi)?
Well, this post got a bit longer than planed, and I apologize for the misspellings (I am quite tired..).
Best regards,
Adam Oscarson
