Hi all
I've just booked a last minute break near Fordingbridge for a week next week
and wondered what species I could expect around the New Forest area I've never been at this time of year. I understand the Great White Egret is still around.
Any info greatly appreciated

Barry,
Lots of good places in NF but have a peek at this Hampshire thread (ignore the witticisms!).

Farlington and/or Lymington through to Keyhaven coast are very popular.

Also, the Hants Ornithological Society web-site.

Also try Blashford Lakes (Wildlife Trust): NF Map OS grid ref: SU 151 079 which is just off the A338 Salisbury to Ringwood road.
Good luck.
