My trip out at the bird park (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this. :) I'm from Singapore, and I made a trip out to the Jurong Bird Park yesterday with my wife and daughter to spend some quality family time together.
Although I just purchased a Swarovski scope last week, I didn't bring it along as I am still waiting ofr my LCE adaptor. Also, I figured that I probably couldn't do anything much with a 2 year old running around. :)
I wanted to bring along my CrystalVue 8x monoscope though, but realised I forgot to when I was parking the car. Sigh... Anyway, I managed to get a couple of good shots in.
The specimens were taken at a distance of about 2 FEET!!!(No joke) from camera to bird, and you will notice the flash. :)

Hardly digiscoping by and standards, but.. still... Any comments?

Paul

hi paul,
digi or not lovely shots, wish we had starlings like that.
bert.

Dear Paul,
Good to hear from you again.

I looked at the photos and thought – that new telescope is up to the mark – then read your letter.

Nice one.

Kind Regards.
Gordon Boreham-Styffe.

Superb shots Paul - if you can get that close to the birds over your way then you don't need a scope 3:) 3:)

Hi guys/girls(if any),
Yeah, the pictures were taken within the Waterfall aviary where the birds are allowed to fly free, but not able to go beyond the nets overhead.
These starling, if I'm not mistaken are not local residents of Singapore. If I'm not wrong, they probably come from South America.
By the way, I just got back from the Botanical gardens, where I managed to use my CrystalVue 8x monoscope, and got a couple of pictures.
I'll upload them once I have IDed the birds. :)

Best Regards
Paul

Hi, I've got some more pics from my outing today at the Botanical gardens. These were captured using my 8x CrystalVue Scope, together with my on camera 3x optical zoom without tripod, as I had my 2 year old daughter standing next to me.
I had the shutter speed at 1/60 secs, and apperture at F/4.9

:) Enjoy

Best Regards
Paul
