Hey guys, I know I post a lot of pictures to ID, but I really do appreciate the help.

Can someone help me to differentiate between a Brown-throated Martin and a Rock Martin. I'm not very sure with this one.

Thank you,

Hanko, firstly the habitat should be considered. Rock Martin's are obviously associated with cliffs and rocky outcrops. Brown-throated Martin's are typically found over open wetlands, rivers, dams etc.
Brown-throated Martin has a very distinct brown throat contrasting with the white belly. There is a more uncommon brown form which is completely brown underneath, but that still is different to a Rock Martin who has cream coloured underside with an orangey/pinkish tinge to the throat.
Besides these, Rock Martin also has white tail spots which can be seen when the bird fans its tail in flight.
