Saw him/her for less than a second driving home from work wednesday evening (5-5:30) but the traffic kept me from stopping. The only reason I though it was a robin was the company it was keeping, otherwise I'd of had NO idea what it was. So my fiance and I went out that way again this morning (sunday) with little hope but hope nonetheless. Nothing on the way through the area but stopped for a Red tail a little ways up. Then on the way back there he/she was! Stopped, backed up and waited for it to come up out of the ditch it had dropped into. Sure enough first the head the the whole thing. I think it may be very young yet but can't say for lack of experience.
Said it before and I'll say it again... I need a camera!!
I live in CT, BTW.
