Hello,

Decided to give Laughton a try. The old car park at Tuetoes Hills as been closed because of SSSI and a new car park made a little further down the road, now on the left side as you drive south. It is a better car park with a slag floor and lots of room for vehicles.

There is a map of the walks on a notice board, giving relevant information.

There seemed to be few birds about, this is what we saw:

Wood pigeon - lots
Tree Pipit - 4
Long-tailed Tit
Great Tit
Chaffinch
Grey Heron - 1
Crow - lots

We arrived at 13:30 and left at 15:00.

Regards

Thanks for the info on Tuetoes, intellectual.

We "pop over" to Laughton from time to time, though I must confess never to have seen much birdlife there myself, other than the heronry.

Mind you, it does have the advantage of being close to Blyton, and the ice-cream shop!!!
