Lake District (1 Viewer)

I would not say that this info is "good sighting" but it was reported in our local paper yesterday, that Ulverston(South Lakes),had been hit by a massive flock of Starlings who had flown across from Russia to escape the severe temps. They were called the Russian Swallows and named as one of Bill Oddies fav birds, not sure re that info ,I do know he has a penchant for Swallows.Apparently these Starlings covered every car in the area with gauco and caused lots of probs. Some residents were happy to see them and others not so.But the item had a full page ,inc phot,so one up for the Starlings.Wonder if any such other influx has been reported anywhere else in the UK.
