After a recent Windows Update I noticed an item in the task bar area showing the weather and news.

It's annoying me, and I'm not really interested. I just can't find a way to get rid of it. They also put a People one there during a previous update, but I've manage to rid myself of that one.

I can't even slide it into 'hidden icons' ! And when my mouse happens to hove over it..... what do I see but the blooking Euros news, which couldn't be of less interest to me!!!!

Oh Mono.... you're brilliant!!! I'd been searching and searching and couldn't see that LOL.

Thanks lad.

er.... yes Butty. But I hadn't seen the option for turning it off. Worked a dream when Mono pointed me in the right direction.
