Help on Birding in France (1 Viewer)

Doug

Well-known member
I have the chance to have a days birding in France next week - a suprise business trip with the opportunity for a day off.

The visit I have to do is at the village of Piffond, south of Paris. Does anyone know of any good birding sites in that area or anywhere between there and the Channel Tunnel? What birds might we see?

Any help from our wise forum members would be appreciated.

Have a look at a newly published book A Birdwatching Guide to France North of the Loire by J Crozier, published by Arlequin Press isbn 1 900159 76 7

There are entries for central Paris, Rambouillet Forest and nearby lakes, Senart Forest and Fontainebleau in the area up 60km south of Paris.
