Dear NZ Birders and Visitors,

I am planning a possible pelagic in the Hauraki Gulf on 12th November.

I currently have a tentative arrangement with Chris and Brett Rathe who skipper Wrybill's pelagics. Whether it goes ahead will depend on numbers so this message is to solicit interest.

Overall cost will be NZ$1700, with a maximum of 12 people (including me). We would split the cost N-ways. I guess the minimum number would be 7, for a cost of around $250 each, dropping to $140 with 12 pax.

It would leave from Sandspit as usual, but I am currently planning on it calling past Tiritiri Matangi for a pickup there as well. Remainder of the details to be worked out, but obviously NZ Storm Petrel the key target.

If you are interested, please could you PM me. If we reach critical mass in the next few weeks (say by first couple of days in October) I will then make a decision on whether it's economic to go ahead and confirm with Chris.

Cheers, Ian
