Janet and I are off to White Sands Bay for a week's camping on 6 September. Any good birding sites there abouts please?

If any forum members wish to meet up for a pint or three why not send me a PM.

Ron,
Good to see that you've picked the right area of Cornwall for your holiday. As you're already going to be at Whitsand Bay you'll be in prime birding territory. Dartford Warbler are on the cliffs by theRame View cafe.
You must visit Rame Head and Penlee - at least daily!! anywhere can - and does pull in the birds.

Millbrook and St John's Lake should have plenty of gulls andwaders to look at.

This is my local patch so I'll glady show you around. Looking back through my records I see that in previous years I have found 2 Tawny Pipits, Melodious Warbler, and a Wryneck during the week you are coming down. In addition Firecrests and Black Redstarts should be coming through and Short-eared Owls and Merlin will be giving the local mouse and Pipit populations a fright.
