What the hell is a ring necked gull?????

A Ring-necked Gull is an incredibly rare species only found when birders attempt to type 'Ring-necked Duck' when they have Little Gull on the brain. Error now rectified, thanks for pointing it out!

Hehe. Sorry if I sounded as if I was making fun, I actually thought it was a gull i had never heard of, or that it was another name for ross's gull, since they do have a ring around their neck in Winter.

Ross's Gull? I wish!

No worries, chap - a bit of banter's always good anyway as you can't take life too seriously. A Ross's Gull would be nice, I haven't seen one since about 1996 or '97.
