Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (5 Viewers)

A lovely morning on the patch:

Brilliant views of 3 Otters on the canal near Salwarpe first thing.

A Garden Warbler at Knight's Grove
3 Yellow Wagtails over Sinton Lane plus another (male) perched on wires singing.
Female Wheatear on field next to Tapenhall Pool (found by Birder Gladys)
Red Kite over between Ladywood and Salwarpe.
2 Cuckoos near Salwarpe (male and female calls heard)
2 Swifts over Barnhall Farm plus 2 over Coney / High Park.
Pair of Egyptian Geese on small pool between Chatley and Hawford plus family party (2+6) still near Moat Farm.

Greylag Goose, Canada Goose, Mallards, Coot, Moorhen, Red-legged Partridge, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Pheasant, Herring Gull, LBB Gull, Black-headed Gull, Buzzards, Kestrel, Collared Dove, Stock Dove, Wood Pigeon, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Swallows, House Martins, Grey Wagtails, Pied Wagtails, Starlings, Skylarks, Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Blackbirds, Blackcap, Common Whitethroats, Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers, Cetti's Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Goldcrest, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long-tailed Tits, Nuthatch, Raven, Carrion Crow, Rook, Magpie, Jackdaw, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Bullfinch, Linnet, Goldfinch, Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting.

Coot pair with freshly hatched chicks on Tapenhall pool
The usual Warblers including Lesser Whitethroats
2 Yellowhammers

Pair of Yellow Wagtails along Sinton Lane again.
Little Egret on the pool there.
The Egyptian Geese family seem to have departed the pool (evidence of farm activities) but a defensive pair were near Barnhall Farm. No young were seen there though - but they could be hiding in the crops or hedges.

A Little Owl showed well at Linacres paddocks this morning.
Yellow Wagtail near Tapenhall plus one on wires along Sinton Lane
Cuckoo at Porter's Mill flew towards Tapenhall
2 Sand Martins appearing to build a Nest in a cavity in the wall of Tapenhall Farm
Gadwall at Coney Meadow and 3+ around Tapenhall
House Martin at Tapenhall plus others around Copcut and Droitwich
Swifts - 2 over Tapenhall plus others over Droitwich
Kingfisher
The usual Warblers including good views of a couple of Lesser Whitethroats

1st photo canal by salwarpe not sure what it was flying very low up and down canal second picture wires by ladywood don’t know if you see the 1st one Dave was walking a bit behind you this morning .
