I'm a very inexperienced birder and I'm visiting Jordan for 10 days starting next weekend. I've researched a number of trip reports & have a copy ofthe Helm Field Guide Birds of the Middle East, but both of these sources are light on information regarding the how common certain species are.
Can anyone help by letting me know what the everyday birds will be, and I'll then gen up on them with a view to hopefully ID'ing them when I'm there? A list of 20-50 likely suspects would be most helpful. I'd be particularly interested in what the commonest raptors are.
