Castle Espie birdwatch morning (1 Viewer)

Had a lovely morning at the regular end of month birdwatch morning at our local WWT centre. Specials included a Little Egret flying on cue in front of the Brent hide. Also, beautiful view of a treecreeper on a long peanut feeder. Tide was just going out as we arrived at the Brent hide - Dot (the guide) gave a great hint - if you see redshank arriving, the tide is going out - a great tip, if like me you are never too sure whether to wait or not.
o:) Observed brent geese, shelduck, eider, redshank, oystercatcher, dunlin, golden plover, curlew, teal from this hide. Previously in the woodland walk -robin, blackbird, wren, bullfinch, chaffinch, great tit, coal tit, goldcrest, treecreeper, greenfinch and raven. Stopped at wader lake and spots included a great view of little grebe with a fish, tufted ducks, mallard and moorhen.

Not bad for an hour and a half!
