I wouldn't waste my time with iNat's AI for birds. It doesn't look like either a conebill or a manakin.

A puzzling bird. My initial reaction was also Plain Antvireo but I'm having a hard time reconciling the short, broad, forked tail with that species. Am not convinced the bill looks right either. I wondered about maybe a juvenile Blue Dacnis. That seems a better fit shape-wise. Not sure though!

It might help to know more precisely where it was seen.

Hard to be positive of anything but it’s not a Plain Antvireo - bill structure is off, tail is off, and Antvireos don’t (at least typically) feed each other fruit in the canopy. A Dacnis is a likely suggestion.

juv blue dacnis is blue greenish [edit !] underneath not yellowish. I don't know what it is: not rufous-browed peppershrike. Colours and tail roughly fit juv tropical kingbird but shape doesn't. Not sure what juv lemon-chested greenlet looks like but adult obviously has pale eye.

I am not sure what it is, but the orange-red legs seen in a couple of photos exclude several of the species proposed ...

Truly baffled by this!

It seems to be a young bird begging for food, and the other bird feeding it looks dark and greyish. Given the field guides often just depict the adults that could be hampering progress.

Also (and by all means poor scorn on this idea, I'm very far from sure myself) is the adult bird smaller than the begging one? Really hard to tell. Does the bill structure look the same, or does the adult's look longer and finer? Also really hard to tell. Could this be a brood parasite? Beyond Cowbirds (which this clearly isn't) I'm pretty ignorant of the situation in South America.
