Hi.
We are going to visit peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for a three week independent birding trip in February/March. Our itinerary contains Kuala Sengor, Fraser's Hill, Taman Negra (and possibly Cameron Highlands) on peninsular Malaysia as well as Sepilok, Kinabatangan, and Kinabalu (and possibly Danum) on Borneo.
We are going to bird without having a guide all the time. However we want to have some guiding for seeing more elusive higlights (Pittas, Bristlehead and the like as well as possible mammals).
Thanks!
Kilian

- Are some of the spots redundand and are there better ones, respectively?
- Are there any precise birding spots/trails/lodges you should visit in these places (unfortunately there is no "Where-to-watch" book for Malysia/Borneo).

- Can you recommend local guides in the areas mentioned above?
Thanks!
