Good Morning to all in Lincolnshire.
I will popping over the border from Norfolk & staying in Horncastle for 2 weeks from 12th August. Can anybody recommend any good birding sites that may be of some interest, as hope to get some birding in.
Regards

Hi,

Gibraltar Point, about 40mins away is always good birding. Of a similar distance is Frampton Marsh and Frieston Shore. The first is cracking for all sorts of birds while the latter holds a large wader roost and thousands of Brent Geese. About an hour away is Lincolnshire WT's Donna Nook. Famous for seals, there are also early passage migrants and often some rarer species. A bit closer to home (about a 10 min drive) is Kirkby-On-Bain gravel pits Here there is a hide as well as other (harder to view) pits. It is owned by the LWT. Info here: http://www.lincstrust.org.uk/reserves/nr/reserve.php?mapref=92

Hope this helps!
Sam
